...but he politely declined kinggf. My idea was to show the E60 M5 for him the last weekend but apparently he didnt have the time. He is an owner of an E39 M5 in LeMans blue and have had all M5 since the mid '80s. A true enthusiast.

Here is his BMW M5 E39 Le Mans Blue.

Here is his BMW M3 CSL:

And his E28 M5:

Proof of ownership.

Anyway, maybe some othertime

The letter states that "he have with interest" read my offer but decided to say no to the generous offers. :haha:

Well, the king of Sweden should drive the King of Sedans shouldn't he?
LOL!

Can't blame you for trying. :1:
incredibly nice of him to send a personal reply, even tho someone else probably prepared the letter for him.. He probably has one on order already, wouldn't he? :1:
I called and asked them and apparently his staff go through all the mails at a meeting on Thursdays and then he tells them what to answer and what to do. This mail I got was written by his "servants" or similar, but ut us clear that he have read my letter and is getting back to me.

I asked him some questions regarding the M5 he have had as well as metnioned I have met him earlier, but the questions where "private matter" so that was secret.

I asked what year and colours his previous M5s where :haha:
That's really cool, Gustav way to go. But maybe he's secretly already an M5board regular? You never know!

I was wondering. Just where would a King drive his M5, on a private track? Or does he "sneak" out on public streets. But then, how would his security detail keep up - or rather, what would THEY drive to keep up with his M5, more "security M5's"? Let me guess: The security detail drive AMGs to give the king someone to race! That's what I'd do if I were King kinggf

Gustav:

Hey, it was worth a try! Kudos to you for offering, and to your King for responding. I know that would never happen here in the 'States.

Eric

Hell, I don't think "W" could even read the letter inviting him to join! <Flame Suit On>
Has the king ever been stopped for speeding in his M5's?
No, and aactually he is the only person in Sweden that stands outside the law. The police cannot do anything to our King, it is in our "constitution".
Updated with some pictures of the king in the M5 and his M3 CSL.
Way cool.... for trying and getting His reply.
