For sale is a set of staggered HRE P40 19" wheels in excellent condition with nearly new Continental Extreme Contact tires in 255/40R19 and 285/35R19. The wheels include TPMS sensors and are ready to bolt up to your M5. They fill out the wheel wells very nicely and do not rub. The Contis are STICKY--if you're having traction issues now and these tires don't cure them, you've got some serious horsepower.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ExtremeContact+DW&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=835YR9ECDW&tab=Sizes

The wheels sell for ~$1600 each, new, and the tires are about $1000 for the set, not including the TPMS sensors, so this set would run about $7400. Since the wheels are as close to perfect as used wheels can be, and since the tires only have a couple thousand miles of use on them, my asking price is $5500 obo, and I'll cover shipping (in the continental US) and Paypal fees.

Why am I selling? In a word, upgrades. My weekend / toy car is an '04 Mustang Cobra. The motor is a 4.6L V8 with an Eaton supercharger. It's got a few bolt ons and makes about 460rwhp. Upgrading to a bigger blower could easily put the car over 600rwhp. My wife is perfectly fine with me spending $35K on a car, but puts on the brakes if I want to throw a few grand at upgrades unless I sell something to help cover the cost. I have two sets of M5 wheels and I like the other set (M6 wheels) better, so the HREs will nicely fund my Mustang project.

Now you might say that 460rwhp in a Mustang is plenty and I should keep these sweet P40s and you'd be right, but my buddy has an '11 Mustang GT500 and there's a little rivalry. The GT500 is stock, and my warmed-over Cobra is slightly quicker right now, but the Shelby is getting some bolt-ons this winter and I fear the tables will be turned.

Hmm, not sure why you can't see them. They are 8MP, so maybe more than your browser can handle (like if you're on a tablet or phone)? Try them this way:

Bump. Would prefer to sell here rather than on Ebay, so make an offer.

Gonna throw them on Ebay this afternoon--they're not doing me any good sitting in the corner of my garage, and it's getting about time to do the supercharger upgrade for the Cobra.

Obviously I haven't gotten any offers so either nobody is interested in P40s, or my asking price is too far off. Anyone who wants to throw in their opinion is welcome--you won't hurt my feelings.

Here's my opinion. I had the same set of wheels on my car except they were in a different finish. The were dark grey, Graphite I think. Im not sure of the exact finish that HRE called them. They were 19's as well.

I think you're asking too much. I sold them with tires for $2500. They sold in about 3 weeks. $5500 is a lot for used wheels. I know they are HRE's but the used wheel market is rough. Don't forget what many people are paying for these cars today. They're available to people that were never able to pay for a full set of HRE's at retail, let alone used ones. Good luck with the sale though, whatever you decide to do.

Yeah, that makes sense. I was hoping a few people might make offers to at least give me a better idea of market value. I have them on EBay with a $5000 BIN and the "make offer" option available. If no bites this time around, I'll drop the BIN another $500 at the next listing. Eventually they'll sell, but of course I'd prefer to sell them on the forum to avoid the ridiculous EBay fees.

One more thing I forgot t add was they they're 19's and not 20's. Many on these boards prefer the size upgrade as well. I think it's a mental thing too. They figure if I'm going to upgrade the wheels, I'm going to upgrade the size too. I had many say "If only they were 20's".

I prefer the 19's because you can get a meatier tire in there.

Bump--currently have them on Ebay for $3699 + $150 to ship. Well, the listing goes live tomorrow evening (07/14/16). http://www.ebay.com/itm/182204263422?item=182204263422&viewitem=&vxp=mtr

I would definitely prefer to NOT sell through Ebay, so if you are interested, let me know here. I'll still take Paypal so you're protected, but if I can avoid Ebay's fees, all the better.

hi. do you know if bolt pattern, etc is same as e60 535i? if so, i might be interested.
This thread says that the tires may rub and recommends going with 245/35R19 and 275/30R19. So the wheels themselves will likely be fine but you may end up having to use lower-profile tires.

m5 wheels on 08 535i

If you want the wheels without the tires, I can do that--I should be able to sell them on the forum.

Bump, these are currently listed on Ebay with a $3699 BIN and $200 shipping. If interested, make me an offer here--would love to avoid Ebay fees if possible.
