I have a 91 M5 with the center console in between the rear seats. I've tried searching, but couldn't come up with any threads...actually the search pulled up like 25+ pages of threads and I didn't see anything. Does anyone know what the process is to remove it?

TIA

each seat bottom unclips, just grab it at the very bottom and give a sharp tug upwards and it should pop off and slide out.

Now the seat back has four plastic nuts holding it down, one in each lower outter corner and two behind the compartment in the center. That unclips by pinching those release clips in the finger holes in the back of the inside.

pull the headrests up in out and turn the mounting screws 90 degrees to release the trim and remove.

now the seatback should left up and away from the bottom and releasing from the clips at the tip edge of the seat and popping off the seat belt trim at athe top.

mind the lower center consol as you side the back out, as the tabs at the bottom of the seat can cut the leather.

Center consol can be unbolted along with the mounting frame.
