Good day ///Mthusiasts,

How many bulbs are there in the E60 M5 adaptive headlights? I have after market bulbs for the angel eyes now and they are rather dull. (installed by previous owner) I am ready to improve the brightness of the angel eyes but need to know what type, wattage as well as how many bulbs to purchase. I would really enjoy the hyper bright bluish tint that I see on newer BMWs if at all possible.

Any input is appreciated,

-PRKelly

There are two bulbs for the AEs. One for driver's side and one for passenger side. Each bulb lights up the two rings on their respective side.

I got mine from Trinity Autosport and am very happy with the brightness and color.

Yes. In the pre LCI you are not going to get that super bright AE like the new BMWs have. For that there are guys who change out the rings ( I think those are the Orion v2's) and they are super bright but that involves cutting the headlight assy apart.
