I have an M6 convertible 2007 and looking for how to hardwire for an escort 8500 into switched power and ground. In vettes I have been able to use Invisicord and wire into mirror but not sure with these cars.
thanks
DanThere's a few posts on this subject here.
Kindly do a search.

Thanks, I did try a search and came up with three results all of which dealt with wiring a escort 9500 into ash tray not too overhead like I need for an 8500. I am looking into wiring into overhead, I am sure there are posts on here on how to do it but I must be using search criteria that does not bring results desired.
So still looking
ThanksWish I could help.
I have a Valentine 1 hardwired to my overhead light and I have a coupe M6.
However, I have seen a few threads here about hardwiring an Escort to the overhead light.
It should be similar installation.
I will try and search for you once I get the chance.
In a verte you need hardwire the power from the homelink wires in the overhead compartment, then try to find a ground (I end up using the drivers sun visor mount usually). This will work on the Escort, but also had a delayed power off of about 5 minutes or so as the homelink stays active after the car is shut off for that long. If you can live with that, you will be good to go. There is a thread on here, explaining the homelink wires colors as well. Hope this helps.
Hi,Actually on a vette at least a C6 you wire it to the back of the mirror there is a switched power and ground on back of mirror was hoping to find something similar. On vette you just use a stab connection to slide it in beside factory connection on mirror no cutting or tapping wires takes all of 5 minutes Will keep searching for something similar on here
Thanks
