Hold old were you when your car was built (and more)?

This crossed my mind recently when I was thinking about build dates.

Also, any special events happened to you during this time?

Mine is April of 2000. I was 15 and still learning English. April also marked 1 year of my coming to the US.

My 2002 M5 has a build date of 10/01.
I had turned 40 years old at the end of that past August.
I was recently divorced and living in Mexico while employed as the GM of a division of a large US based electronics manufacturer.
For obvious reasons (9/11), I will never forget that time in my life.

In 7/2001 I was 14-years old and about to become a freshman in highschool. My family's house burned down 6 months prior; WW2OL had been online for less than a month; and of course 9/11 was just on the horizon. Those are the biggest, most memorable three events in my life surrounding my car's production date. I sometimes find myself in denial that 2001 was really that long ago; it seems like yesterday. Okay, maybe the day before yesterday, but still... :dunno:

04/00, I was celebrating my 12th wedding anniversary and my son's 11th birthday. My MIL was very ill and living with me and I was in a cast with a badly broken left foot and a partially torn Achille's tendon. I remember the doctor saying that I may never drive a manual vehicle again. LOL look at me now!

I was 30. Finally decided to buy a car for myself that was fun to drive. At the time my daily driver was an F150.
