I feel like an idiot asking this, but what type of bulb is in our high beams? I would like to replace them with the ones that color match the HIDs and when I go to order, I have bulb type choices and I don't know if they are 9006 or H1.

Might as well ask for the bulb type in the fogs too, cause the same situation gives me options for 9006, H1 and H3! (I'm looking at the projector fog lights from BAVauto, Unimitza, and Bekkers, all appear to use different bulbs)

Oh, and my '01 M5 is stock.

Are the high beams and fog lights the same for pre-2000?

I've ordered the projector39's for my 1999 M5 and was next going to change the high beam bulbs and fogs to better match the colours in the p39s as opposed to trying to get a brighter light.
