This is probably information that you all already know, but I just found it. You can remove the dampening adjustment knob from the top of the shock (14mm wrench) to find an allen wrench recess used to tighten the nut at the top of the shock properly.......
BC does not have a sepcific torque spec, best way to do it is with an impact gun, just hit it for a second and it'll tighten it up nice. Don't sit there and jam on it though as thought isn't good for the shock.
