Here's a few pics of my new M5 dog hauler!

Replaced the X5, because I am sick of SUVs.....the 'kids' love it. All I have to throw down is a seat cover and all is well.

I think the color is great and the interior pretty unique.

Congrats! Nice dog hauler! I have one too - I take my Leonberger in it! She's a baby, but she's over 100 pounds already.
Pretty car!!

Wow - you guys are brave. My golden retriever isn't allowed in mine!
I just put a good seat cover on it and we definitely have a discussion every flight about not drooling or nose-printing the windows! :nono:

Wow from this first picture I thought you took a picture of a toy car... :hihi:

Nice...

I use the BMW universal seat cover which protects the entire back seat. Easy to put on and easy to take off and everyone stays happy.
How does the trunk open with the spoiler attaching on the outside rear fenders?

That spoiler (that came with the car) is actually attatched to the trunk, so its no problem. I really prefer the small lip spoilers that I see on M5s.

As for my Newfies.........the seat cover is great...........but we are always having 'discussions' about drooling and nose printing the windows.

Good eyes Digi! I would assume that it actually attaches to the trunk lid.

i would also say that BMW E39 5 series Trunk Lifters are not sufficient to keep up the added weight from coming down too fast.
Great choice! I remember the first time I drove member Rob (kellnersM5) car. I got him on the phone and said “what the heck is all over the back windows?”

I love that color now all you need is a few well placed mods and some software

I agree with you. I think the basic car is very good. I think that I will want to improve the handling and the brakes first and see how that feels.........any suggestions?
Here is a great OEM seat cover BMW offers for the Beast.
I bought it from Crevier BMW.
It completely covers the rear seatback, cushion, head rests and sides.
Well worth the investment if you haul pets or anything else that could damage your leather.

Part # 3 52-30-0-002-704 COVER @ $138.75

Sure!

We actually have suggested packages on our site listed here. These are meant just as a suggestion and can be customized to your driving preferences.

Shoot me a call at the office and I can pick your brain a little better on what your looking for. Shadowman and I have been able to assist several board members with their performance projects.

PS: Did you get the dog seat belt ad on?

I'll check out your web site and give you a call. I don't want to go too crazy as its been my experience that money spent on mods is never recovered, and I like to keep it as original as possible. I think the car need to be stiffer, and its a bit underbraked.

Dog seat belt!!! Where do I find that?
Na not crazy.. no need its an M5 :) We can discuss the suspension and brake set up.

and heres a link to the BMW Dog Seat Belt

Thanks. I like the belt..........but the beasts that I put in the Beast are 140 and 120pounds respectively. I think the pup belt said...up to 88 pounds! Maybe I should put them in the real seat belts!!

Smooch...my 140 pound boy....holds the unofficial record for going the fastest in an F40. He has hit 175....and if he wasn't sitting on his tail....it would have been wagging!
Bummer.. my Akita is 140 and he wont fit either.. but the pits fit perfectly :)
great pictures.my rottie just likes to lay beside it :viking: have fun with your pooch:biggrin:
