Hey there (this is my first thread so bear with me if this looks like a child wrote it!!!),

I'm in the process of restoring a RHD Alpina B9 3.5 :M5launch: and would appreciate some help with regards to parts and advice.

The car is just about to come out of the body shop and I will need to get it serviced. The only thing is I dont know what specs of engine oil, diff oil and brake fluid I should use as I want to supply the garage with the correct stuff rather than let them use any old chip pan oil they have lying around the garage!!

The second query is can anyone suggest a sensible brake upgrade? The discs warp before lunchtime on a trackday :M5rev: so something a bit stronger may be on the cards.

Thanks

Thanks Jimmy,
Does the E34 kit make much difference :wroom: ? Presumably it would be a straight swap would it?

Hi Andy,

New member so chose the most appropriate name name and it accepted it.

The car is 1983 and I am reliably informed that it was the 6th built and was utlilised by alpina as a press car before being sold to Crown foods Ltd.

The car will still need:
refurbing of wheels
some chrome re-trim re-chroming
a steam clean inside the car (it was left in a barn for 18months!)
the door cards are not great

Cant wait to get the car back as its been in the body shop for over a year!!!

Can anyone give me some advice on what oil to use and gearbox oil specs etc?

yeah its got standard door cards. I didnt know they did Alpina items?

Whilst i am trying to keep the car as original as possible I am tempted by some of the Alpina cloth you can buy to re-trim the door cards in.

There wasnt much details on it other than it was 140cm wide and sold by the metre.
