Hello,

I'm in the process of rebuilding my s38 after a melted piston.

When connecting the starter motor I accidentily connected both the thin wires(the one with the m5 and the m6 connction) to the starter motor to the thinnest connection (the m5 one). This caused the starter motor to turn, but the cog didn't engage to the flywheel.

When checking I corrected this but now the startermotor doesn't even turn. Furtermore, the alarm system, which every time i disconnected the battery went of, doesn't go off anymore.
I checked all the fuses, I measured the voltage to the starter motor (12,1V), and now I'm out of ideas.

Any thoughts? Any help is appreciated.

Thanx in advance,
Geert

miraculaously the problem cured itself. However now the oillevelsensor is assuring me there isn't any oil in the sump, while it's almost full!?! :confused2

Oh yeah, and the headgasket leaks....:crying: :crying: see new post.
Thanx for reading however!!
