I need to take care of a little curb rash on one of the wheels. If you have any of the paint I would be willing to purchase some. If you know where to get the paint or have a BMW part # please let me know. Thanks John

There are some old threads on this -- search for "shadow chrome" for more information. Bottom line, the paint is hard if not impossible to buy, and it's a multi-step finish that's not easily reproduced. I would suggest contacting Wheel Collision Center in Bath, PA. I used them to refinish a different wheel last year, and at that time they had just begun to offer refinishing services for shadow chrome wheels.

My understanding is that the base coat is a black POWDER coat, then a 'very tricky to apply' thin chrome coat, then clearcoat.

Not available in a bottle...
