I was reading the "carbon build up" thread yesterday and read a post about heating up the o2 sensors to clean them. The post recommended to run the car in 3rd at 60 mph for 15 minutes or in neutral for 5 mins at 3000rpm. I ran the car in 2nd and 3rd between 4500rpm and 5500rpm for close to 20 minutes and wow what a difference. ( I have 38K on the od) The oil temp was about 230 after I was done. I just ran constant speeds so no hard accelerations. I had a rough idle (upon start up the car would shake a little-not really the idle speed but it would shake the car) this is gone. The car is throatier now and sounds stronger. The responsiveness is better-there is no lag on the gas and rev happy like when it was new. My MAFs were about 8% off before all of this so the motor was strong before but is just feels better..maybe just in my head but I would recommend do this. Hey it can’t hurt right? :M5thumbs:
