My headlights no longer adjust up and down.

Anyone have experiance with installing these headlight adjusters? My dealer informed me that these adjusters were broken and I would have to replace the headlights themselves, just like the advertisement states. Looks like a great fix, if it is something someone with mimimum mechanical experiance can do.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Do a search on this and youll see a ton of info. Some headlights can be baked open some cant. If you truly want to fix them and yours cant be baked open, youll have to cut into the housing some how. Some have used a dremel some have used a soldering iron.

Either way GL.

It's pretty easy to do, as long as you can bake your headlights open. If you have the tools and trust you handiwork, I would suggest a route like this member http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39-m5-e52-z8-discussion/87831-adventures-headlight-adjusters.html as opposed to buying the expensive aluminum ones

there is a guy on ebay that sell some new style non breakable adjusters. He is in IL. Do a search on ebay and you will find him. He is also offering adjuster replacement services if you ship you lights to him. good luck!

Thanks for everyone's response...I'm surprised there are so many others that have had the same problem.I can't beleive I did not run across these prior threads with my search. Thanks again!
