Do you guys think Bmw will replace the black gauges the new M5 has with the grey ones like what they did to the e39 M5....I prefer the grey gauges I have in my 4.6is which is identical to the e39 M5's

hmm... a wild guess... no.

i think it would be a marketing disaster if they start doing these sort of things 6 months into the production of a flagship model.

I suspect that the gauges will be replaced with grey (or something else) as part of the first "freshing up" of the E60 M5 during the 2007 or 2008 year. These cosmetic updates are inevitable and probably planned far in advance.

I couldn´t care less. It revs and pulls just awesome with the black ones :hihi:

LED rear lights.. oval mirrors.. grey guages... SAD

it would be very pityful to see existing technology, trims, or even just currently fashionable items to be added as a 'freshing up' a few years down the road.
