Those photos are stunning... ya gotta love AW ;) Is that the Cannondale Synapse? My last Cannondale was the 6-13 before switching to Trek Madone's and now I'm on Specialized SL3's. The Thule 753 rack is perfection isn't it?

Nice looking car. Great bike. Is that one of the carbon models? I really like the synapse, but just fell in love with the bang for the buck and ride of the CAAD 10.

I just got the bmw rack on mine too. I haven't even gotten my bike up on it yet because its been raining all week. Anyone know where to find a wind deflector to fit the bmw one? I'd buy the Thule deflector if i knew it would fit.

Thanks for you comments. Yep its a 08 Synapse 6 aluminum. I would like to go carbon soon either another Cannondale or Specialized, either that or maybe some PSS9s for the beast :). As for the Thule I love the 753 rack, I haven't seen the BMW rack in person, but I've heard good things.

I sold this bike last fall, but I'll be building a new one soon enough. It was a 2007 Kona Stinky deluxe frame with a Marzocchi 66 RC3 fork and XTR shifter and rear derailleur. Great bike. Thule rack with the 599 XTR carrier. It was the only one I could find that would hold the 2.75in tires, and they really sat "on" rather than "in" the track. The fork clamp style isn't really feasible with thu-axle wheels. Apologies for the vaguely crap photo.

Do you have any closer pics of that rack? It looks like it's based off of the Thule version with the oval load bars instead of the square ones. I have the same setup as the OP, the 753's with the square load bars and the same wind deflector. The deflector came with clips to fit it to both the square and oval load bars, so if that's comparable to what you've got it should fit fine.

You'll need the 753 carrier. The feet only mount specifically to the load bars that come with it. You can mount your existing bike carrier to that though. I already had ski/snowboard/surfboard carriers that I used to put on the roof bars of my old Jeep and I just transferred them over to the 753 when I got it.

LLM3, which size fairing do you have?
To tell you the truth I don't remember. I bought the setup last summer from a Thule dealer and they didn't give me a choice of sizes for the fairing, they kinda just gave me one when I asked for a one. I checked today to see if it said the size anywhere on the actual fairing, but I couldn't find anything. Sorry I wish I could be more help

I'll double check the ovalized clips that I'm not using when I can but I think the Thule ones are full oval, not truncated like that. They might not work.
