Hi there all

Andy and me had a great time on Sunday, thanks to all who made it, we met some great people and saw some very smart looking cars, thanks for having us both! I managed to take loads of photos and will post them on the board soon.

We had a good drive back to Huddersfield, it took 3 1/2 hours at a steady 80, both cars made it back with no problems whatsoever, not bad for a couple of 18 year old motors.

Can we give a special big thankyou to David O, cheers for your hospitality over the weekend, the loaning of the Touring (i really came attached to that car....a pure street sleeper, you gotta hang on to it) and especially for taking us both out to the boxing and for a few beers on the Friday night, cheers mate, it was greatly appreciated :)

If you can make it up to Sunny Hudds sometime we will repay the favour.

Catch up with you guys soon.

James & Andy H

Looks like you had a cracking time :)

Sorry I couldn't make it, too many things going on in my life right now, something had to give unfortunately.

I also now am back home - in little 'ol Tassie, Australia. I would like to pass on my sincere thank you to Davidoli for organising the day, and particularly, Simonal for driving into central London to collect me, taking me out to the Goat, driving me back into London via the tourist route, and then driving me out to Heathrow. In my view, he went way out of his way to assist me. I assure him it was greatly appreciated.

Of course, spending that much time in his Alpina B10 V8 gave me plenty of time to get to know him a bit, whilst enjoying the seamless power of the Alpina and the subtle but beautiful V8 snarl of the Alpina.

It was also fantastic to finally meet so many of the people I have been interacting with over the net for so many years and whose posts I have been avidly reading over that time. In that regard, I agree with Stevie, it is amazing how internet communication can actually form a relationship that translates easily and well into a face to face realtionship.

And of course, the cars. As an E34 M car man through and through, it was a pure delight to see so many e34 m5's of various states of originality, engine size, colour and condition - a credit to all of their owners.

Again, thanks to all involved, and great to meet you all!

Best regards

Think it would be nice to organise a similar stuff in Belgium also not exactly far from UK including 1.5hrs from Dover and our european colleagues will be able to make it nice and easy for everyone. Its all in the mind if one thinks about how feasible or practical it would be, could even be organised for a day, meet by mid-day and be home by night time. Food for thought, any one up for this. Tots please???? :3::deal:
