Hi David and others, I only just saw this thread - been busy and not on here for a few days:sad3:

As mentioned, I am flexible on dates, so 17 April suits me well.

Where is the Goat? Depending on whether I travel to the ring the day before to meet raymondw, I will be staying in the centre of London, probably near Westminster/Mayfair type of area. Being picked up by an e34 m5 would be a great thing!

If I travel to Germany for the day before, I will look to fly back either Saturday night, or preferably an early Sunday morning flight.

I look forward to meeting you then!

Regards

Jon, that is a shame. Any other time that we could meet up? I owe you a beer for a favour from a few years ago!

Best regards

Sorry guys, can't make Sunday 17th as my sister-in-law is inconveniently getting married on that day!!

How dare she!!

Have a good laugh and I hope to see you all at the next one...

I believe you were part of a chain of people who assisted me get a diff from Germany to Australia, who went way out of their way to make it happen, as documented here:

http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e3...anyone-able-transport-diff-holland-uk-me.html

I will certainly have some other free time. Are you in London? If not, how far away?

Cheers

Crikey that must have been a few years ago, i can't even remeber what the favour was...!!!

What other days do you have time free whilst you are in London?

I'm sure we can work something out.

Jon

Yes David, the weather here is unbelievably fine - much warmer than what I would be experiencing back home at the moment. And I also am looking forward to next Sunday's meet!

I also now am back home - in little 'ol Tassie, Australia. I would like to pass on my sincere thank you to Davidoli for organising the day, and particularly, Simonal for driving into central London to collect me, taking me out to the Goat, driving me back into London via the tourist route, and then driving me out to Heathrow. In my view, he went way out of his way to assist me. I assure him it was greatly appreciated.

Of course, spending that much time in his Alpina B10 V8 gave me plenty of time to get to know him a bit, whilst enjoying the seamless power of the Alpina and the subtle but beautiful V8 snarl of the Alpina.

It was also fantastic to finally meet so many of the people I have been interacting with over the net for so many years and whose posts I have been avidly reading over that time. In that regard, I agree with Stevie, it is amazing how internet communication can actually form a relationship that translates easily and well into a face to face realtionship.

And of course, the cars. As an E34 M car man through and through, it was a pure delight to see so many e34 m5's of various states of originality, engine size, colour and condition - a credit to all of their owners.

Again, thanks to all involved, and great to meet you all!

Best regards
