Maybe this will save someone some embarrassment at the filling station: There is a small green tab (looks like a plastic rivet, actually) on the RHS of trunk sidewall (the fuel door side) that when pulled will release the fuel filler door. Don't know why, but my filler door would not open up today when I was in position to refuel, and I even looked in the trunk for a release, but this little "rivet" did not register with me. So I left and took another look after I got home. Now I know how it works.
