mods, if this is inappropriate in some way feel free to delete. i've seen some other non-m5 stuff listed here and at least this is a 'machine' with wheels and tires on it and it's been posted in action on the board........:1:
anyway, in case there are any mtn bikers out there, i'm selling my 05 s works stumpjumper fsr. large black anodized frame size. the bike is basically stock (mavic crossmax sl wheelset, xtr drivetrain, fox talas rlc fork, septune rear shock, thomson seatpost and stem, etc.). the only non-stock items are an easton monkeybar carbon lo rise bar, wtb laser v saddle and continental vertical protection tires.
the bike is in very, very good shape, ridden but not abused. i'm an older rider who has no desire to leave the ground when riding. i bought the bike new as a leftover in early 2006 so it has two of 'my' seasons on it. this means during the dry season (i don't like muddy riding) a short ride during the week after work when i'm not travelling, usually in the regional park across the street from my house, and probably 2 longer rides a month on the weekends. the bike has been ridden in tahoe a couple of times, auburn a few times, annadel in santa rosa a few times...you get the picture, normal xc riding with no racing. i'm reasonbly known over at the mtbr norcal board and try to keep my stuff in good shape. i've never had an issue with the bike (other than adjusting the brakes when they rub and adjustments to shifter cables), clean it frequently and lube the chain before almost every ride. there are some very small cosmetics scratches on the anodized frame from rocks being thrown up, on the crank arms from my shoes and some scrapes on the crank bottoms, but nothing otherwise. no real stories.
attached are a few pix of the bike after a quick clean. the bike just got back from a tune and is running perfectly in addition to looking great. i have the high res versions if you are interested, these are tiny pix from my local cl ad. the bike had an original list price of $5500, mine is for sale for $2100. happy to answer any and all questions. thanks for looking.
