Up for sale is my beautiful and beloved Alpine White 540i 6 speed. When I have bought this car in December 2002, I said I will keep this car forever. I started moding it, to make it run, handle, sound and look better. I have put thousands of dollars into it. My loss is your gain. It is sad that I have to part with it, but currently have 3 cars and there really isn’t any point for me to keep this car any longer.
In the past year, I’ve put only ~2,500 miles on it. This car was meant to be driven, and since I’ve purchased the M5 I just haven’t driven it much. Right now it’s garaged and under a car cover.
No door dings, paint is in great shape and the car doesn’t need anything. Runs very strong, and much better than the day I have bought it. Maintenance is up to date, and preventive maintenance as well. I have tons of receipts.
Maintenance:
Instrument cluster replaced by dealer because of dead pixels
New clutch replaced by dealer at ~61,000 miles
ABS/DSC module replaced under warranty at ~65,000 miles
Spark plugs replaced at ~75,000 miles
Valve cover gaskets replaced at ~68,000 miles
Power steering hoses replaced at ~68,000 miles
Radiator replaced at ~68,000 miles
Water pump and thermostat at ~70,000 miles
All cooling hoses in engine compartment replaced at ~70,000 miles
Serpentine belts replaced at ~70,000 miles
Rear upper and lower wishbones replaced at ~75,000 miles
Rear lower bushings replaced at ~75,000 miles
Transmission fluid replaced at ~75,000 miles
Fuel filter replaced at ~75,000 miles
Cabin micro filters replaced at ~75,000 miles
Front control arm kit replaced at ~80,000 miles
Alternator replaced at ~80,000 miles
Wheel alignment done at dealer recently
Motor oil and filter replaced religiously at 4000 miles. Only Mobil 1 full syntetic 0-40W used.
