Hi guys

Just saw one of these this morning and my love was rekindled.

For a 14 year old design, it still looks the business. It was designed by Ian McCallum who also did the DB7, don't cha know.

I remember how much I adored it when it came out, as it looked like nothing else on the road. A friend of my Dad's had one in 93 with a Turbosystems 2.4 conversion - I thought there was no cooler car at the time!

Oh, and who can forget Getaway in Stockholm 2!

Right now I am tempted to get one, as they still retain their amazingness, and there are so few about. Have any of you guys had one? Can you recommend it.

Here is a pic if the Cosworth was unavailable in your part of the world.

Cheers!

I know one thing for certain - there are plenty of badly modified, knackered Escort Cosworths out there. So make sure you know what your looking at before you buy. I would expect the mint examples to be very expensive.

Cheers guys. yeah - I would be looking for a standard small turbo Lux version - preferably in Imperial Blue. Not too keen on the twin headlight conversion as shown in the pic either.

There was a hot young lady who lived near me 10 years ago who had such a car - but with the rear spoiler delete option.

Still - it was true love!

What a crazy option to have the rear spoiler deleted. Never heard of that.. I have a friend who has spent ££££ on his red one. Shame its a show car and won't be used how it was designed.
