I spent years looking for this one, and now I have to sell. She's a fantastic example, in avus blue with full grey leather. She has a full service history and I bought her from Munich Legends only a few thousand miles ago (April). I have advertised her on Autotrader for GBP 14.5k but would accept less if I knew she was going to a good home.

These are her features:

· Avus blue;

· Silver/grey leather;

· 6 speed box;

· Switchable EDC (Nurburgring set up);

· Floating disc brakes;

· 18" parallel alloys;

· Electric everything - windows, roof, mirrors, seats (with memories and heated);

· On board computer;

· Immobiliser;

· Cruise control;

· Recent KDS and steering box adjustment (I think the Achilles heel of the M5 is recirculating ball steering - this has been fettled to be the best I have had);

· New tyres (Goodyear 245 Eagles all round);

· Chassis number GE00287;

· Build date October 1994 - registered November 1994;

· Genuine 62,000 miles;

· Optional Origin B2 (useful!) and Sony Minidisc head unit;

· 10 CD Sony changer in the boot.

· Fast (340bhp) and even surprisingly economical (25mpg on last trip, with long term average of 24.4mpg on computer, showing that I don't thrash her!).

And the bad bits ...very few for a 10 year old car. There are a few stone chips in the bonnet (although you have to look pretty closely), a slight blemish in the bonnet, the lacquer on the emblem on the bonnet has lifted and some of the paint peeled off (easily replaced) and some light hair line scratches on the driver's door (well, as I say, she is 10 years old now!).

I'm not quite sure how to insert pics - if anyone is interested, let me know your email address and I shall send some off line.

Thanks for looking.

Alastair

That's a lot of money for a non-LE model!

I know you probably paid £15/16k from Munich Legends, but they are known to charge about 35% more than anywhere else!

You may get lucky and get a buyer willing to pay that premium, but £11k is a more realistic figure.

Also, does it have a BMW extended warranty, or has the suspension been checked? If not it could be a £3k problem waiting just around the corner for a buyer!

BTW I've got GE00261 - July build and Sept registration!

I know its a high price, I know ML charge over the odds and I even knew when I bought that I was paying over the odds. Problem was though that by the time I found the car, I had scoured the ads for just over 2 years and we all know that good examples are certainly not getting more common place, so I was more than prepared to pay the price. And I guess, after all that effort, half of me doesn't want to sell! That said, I'd happily come down lower if I knew she was going to someone made a sensible off and I knew that someone was going to cherish her. I would have thought that 11k would be an absolute snip though!

No extended warranty but yes the suspension (front and rear) has been checked - once by a dealer and again by the specialist i used as a part of sorting out the steering.

Judging by chassis numbers, it looks like our cars are closely related!
