Hey guys,
Well today is my birthday and since completing my half day at work things were going great. Then the revenue generators in blue, cough cough, I mean state trooper decided to pull me over for an apparent speeding ticket. He "says" he got my doing 45 mph turning onto the road before slowing down. I guess the new speed limit on that road is 30, it used to be 40 or 45. AND I told him I just got the car and was still getting used to shifting into the right gear to hold a steady speed. (total bull**** on my part) He obviously didnt care about any of that as he wrote me up for exactly what he said he got me at.
If I was cruising down the road at 45 and knew it was 30 then shame on me, but turning onto a road (its close to being a "Y" type split of the road) and easing down to 38-40 is a pretty shabby unprofessional way to give out a ticket.
Also, I'm sure he was sitting somewhere as I didnt see him until looking in the mirror coming up to a stop sign.
Anyone else want to share their first M5 speeding ticket story?
P.S.> I've never been pulled over for speeding in the seven years I've been driving. (Its not a super long time but hey I made it through the teens and early 20's without one!)
