Has anyone ever heard of Remus exhausts? They have a rear silencer setup for our E60 M5's. You can find them at:

http://www.remus.at/php/index.php?cmd=cmdFrontendProducts&iProductModel=34188

You may need to select "Product Catalog" and set the language to "English", and select BMW and then E60 M5.

I was just wondering if anyone has looked at them or used them in the past.

Thank you,

Darren

Can't tell the volume difference, but the tone sounds very much like stock.

Darren,

they are great exhausts for the money...while they dont provide a large increase in overall volume, they will provide a slight increase in low end tone. There are some drawbacks to Remus as with any exhaust. Remus is known to have little power increase and generally weigh in on the heavier side of performance exhausts for BMW's but there is certainly nothing wrong with them.

The only company that I would recommend more in the same price category, though they dont currently have an offering for the E60 M5, is B&B.

If 10-15% louder is what you desire, then this is the system for you.

Thanks for the feedback. I noticed they really aren't mentioned much (always hear Eisenmann, Supersprint, Dinan, or the upcoming Tubi) on this forum and thought I would ask.

I found a few older posts while searching the forum, but they didn't uncover much.

Thanks again,

Darren

Darren,

the reason being that because of internet feed back there is always a few exhausts that get alot of attention. Unfortunately, alot of exhausts get left out.

Miltek, scorpion, B&B, remus....all exhausts that are worthy of note but generally dont get much press (none but the remus have fitment for the E60 M5).

If you want something loud, the eisenman is the ticket....if you want something a little less loud, the SS or Remus. Given though the price difference between the SS and remus, I would normally take the remus.
