Evening,

I've ordered today some of these Turner delete pipes, been hearing good reviews about them. I like the stock sound of the F10 M5, it just needs more volume and apparently this does it. The way I see it is you can pay £2-4K for a full exhaust from one of the well knows brands or this delivered and fitted for £1k.

It should arrive end of this week from the US, I've gone for straight cut stainless steel, no logo (trying to make it look stock as poss), although that will be hard when they are 4" pipes ! (standard is 3").

I've already been speaking with the chaps from Evolve to put it on for me, the good thing is you can revert it back to stock pipes easily, so I'll be keeping those too.

I'll get some photos up when they arrive and try to post some vids of the sound, can't wait, wife will hate it !

Does anyone else have these pipes ?

Exhaust fitted !

Just popped out to make a quick video on my iphone, excuse the bad quality and its hammering it down out there - I'll dry to get a better shot of the exhaust when the suns out and some drive bys.

Ok, so the M5 Exhaust was purchased from Tuner Motorsport, very good service, paid for it online on the Monday and it was delivered to my house on Thursday, direct from the US of A !

First impressions:
Cold start up is very loud, it idles at 1500rpm for about 30 seconds and its quite loud, then it drops to about 800rpm and its sounds like the standard setup.

Driving:
There is a distinctive drone between 1600-1900rpm but once through that no droning at all - 75-85 on the motorway in 7th is quiet like stock. When you go past 4k rpm though, wow, totally new sound, you can almost hear the pistons in the V8, you no longer need to drop the windows to hear the sound, it almost sounds like a V12 ! Great noise, not obnoxious load, just a very cultured sound and more crackle and pop on the overrun.

I would recommend this to anyone before spending £4k upwards on an Akrapovic. By the way, Evolve did the install and a very good set up they have going on there, about 4 M5s, 2 M3 E46s, an M3 V8 and a 964 Turbo thrown in for good measure ! Speak to Imran, he's a good chap.

Not really, the sound has stayed the same. I've done about 3,000 miles on them and I can't say the sound has got louder. A couple of things to point out:
1. When I had them installed and I went to pick it up the exhausts pipes looked massive on the car, I thought what have I done !! This is because the pipes were brand new and clean all the way through. Once you have done a few hundred miles on them, the black soot builds up in the pipes and then they look much better and fit the car just right as it takes away some of the size.
2. There is a drone for between 1800-2000 rpm but that's all, nowhere else in the rpm range does it drone, just that few hundred rpm. I don't really notice it now, if I have family in the car, I just drop a gear and the rpm goes over 2k and it's all quiet again. You can easily drive this car in quiet mode if you don't want to alarm your passengers, you just need to keep an eye on the revs if you're in slow moving traffic.
All I can say is if you get these fitted, you NEED to find yourself a tunnel, even a short one like under a bypass etc. Floor it with the windows down and you will swear this should be illegal.....!!

Where did you order these from? I can only seem to get US prices on the turner .com - did you have them shipped over? What was the total cost in the end to you (including the shipping)?

Sorry for dredging an old-post. Please forgive me.

I was wondering where you got these? I can only seem to get US prices and the US turner .com site? Did you have them shipped over or were you able to find a UK stockist? How much did you pay in total in the end?
