In an e60 M5 (2006) which I owned, I traded my aluminum trim to another owner in exchange for the wood trim I preferred. Each of us was happier and the BMW dealer charged each of us $200 to remove and install.

I am about to acquire an F10 M5, but I cannot find one that has the "Red Sycamore Wood" trim and each of the ones I find has either the aluminum, black piano or anthracite wood. If anyone has an F10 M5 and prefers the aluminum or other trim over the Red Sycamore, I would pay for a BMW dealer to remove and reinstall and do the same with an F10 M5 I purchase. This gives me more flexibility on which car to purchase. I can, of course, spec out and order a new F10 or simply order the wood replacement, but don't want to do either.

Thanks.

Hey Rick that was me that traded with you. Long time no see. Hope you're doing well. I'm looking around at the new M5 as well.
