Hello.

I know this is blasphemous (Neil is going to flame me I'm sure :) ) , but I am looking for a B10 v8. And wondered if I could release the beast. I.e get some more power from the Alpina.

I know they mod the engine and I'm not suggesting anything to Max Power.

This year going to Le Man, I was in a convoy of 6 cars where the two top cars were a GT3 Porsche and a Gallardo. My Rx8 got spanked but hopefully I'll be able to keep pace in the B10.

So mods I can do? I guess that any exhaust would have limited effect, and I wouldn't want to spoil the sound.

So which of these is worth it, any others?

Octane booster.
De-cat,
exhaust
k&n air filter.
RE-map
...

Of course I would buy a V8S if I could find on and afford it. kinggf

hi jaylist
i have fitted a bmc cda carbon air box to my B10 V8 which has made a differrence it seems to rev higher in each gear as for the exhaust and remap alpina are specialist's in these area's so i have left well alone.

i have contacted a few different companies about supercharging the car but this would cost £6500 - £9500 maybe next year.

hope your enjoying your B10 V8

I agree about the remap. I know Alpina have alrady performance out of the ecu and they have their own exhaust so that probably rules that out. And I don't want to compromise longevity etc.

Good idea about the air box. I am not looking for ridiculous increases, just to bring it up the double vanos post 2000 engine.

Was it M5 version if the filter you fitted?

i had to use the one made for the 540 as m5 has two.
around £185 but they do not come with fitting kit you also have drill a hole for the senor but its quite easy to do if you dont mind a bit tinkering:wroom:
