Hi Guys,

well, it's taken us a very long time to actually get round to posting this! For those of you who follow what happens on the E39 section, we've been very busy over there working on NA tuned S62's. Taken a little longer than expected but the end result is quite satisfactory.

This is more of an introduction in this section about us and what we have been upto.

This software has been under going development for a lomg time with lots of breaks due to the above mentioned reasons.

This are just the premlimary graphs, we will put up a few more showing the consistency kept on the correction factors between the tests.

Car was tested with 99 Octane (UK) Shell V Power before and after.

Just something we'd like to point out about the results is the actual runs chosen. When any car is run intially the first few dyno pulls are usually very low. This is for various reasons such as tyre temperature, transmission oil temperature etc etc. We have chosen the very highest figures the car made as standard.
The after tuning graph chosen is the one that shows the most consistent power. We did have a few runs which were higher but they are not an accurate representation as those figures were not consistent.
So what you see above is the highest pre tune figure vs the average after tune figure.
It is too easy to show the lowest vs the highest and this would give us a gain of almost 45 HP..... but this is completely unrealistic and is therefore not shown.
If anyone is interested in seeing those graphs we can post them up.
In addition to this all tests were done whilst monitoring air intake (both banks), oil, coolant and exhaust gas temperatures. For us to get an accurate representation of a true before and after figure it was important that we kept these variables as close of physically possible. This we managed to keep very consistent with intake temperatures always always between +5-10 degC above ambient temperature which inside the workshop was very consistent given it's quite cold here.

Last thing, yes the engine is revving to 8800rpm! We will be lowering that down to around 8400-8500rpm as there is little point in revving past this.

Our standard retail price for this is £999 inc VAT (£850 exc VAT)

However, member offers with a good discount will be posted in the relevant section in the near future with an option of also purchasing a cable for self programming.

We are already currently tuning in the US with our cable being sent to individuals. We remotely login to the customers PC and carry out the proceedure with the customer only switching the ignition on and off for us.

The 8800 rpm redline is very interesting as there certain times when a gear change is required right before a key milestone (e.g. - 60 to 130 times or 1/4 mile times). What is the risk to the engine for keeping the redline at 8800 and will you offer that option to your customers. The power doesn't seem to drop off as much as I thought it would past 8250. Looks impressive.

Hi,

The engines are tested to an even higher rpm limit. If you want a specific RPM limit you can have it as long as it's not over 8800rpm.

Even keeping to the stock limiter you will achieve the same gain in 'peak power'.

Most of the cars that leave here have 8500rpm as an RPM Limiter.

We can also supply 2 tunes with a cable. Both exactly the same but just with different RPM limiters. You can load these via a laptop (it's very fool proof) as and when you wish. There will be a small extra charge for this + cable.

I love how the Brits tune these cars!

I have a question though, how can I get hold of an uploader/downloader? Since I live so far away, I don't want to send my ECU back and forth everytime dealer flashes it, or when the time comes to revert to stock tune.

Hi Ahmed!

All you need is a cable which we can supply.

If you have an update, all you do it read out the file and send it over to us. We tune that particular software version in exactly the same way and send it back to you. You can then revert from stock to tuned anytime you want.
Read process ~ 120 seconds
Write Process ~ 45 Seconds.

You just need a windows based laptop and that's it.

We can also supply a handheld unit which has the maps stored on it. You only need a PC to load maps into the handheld unit.

It's been consistent on 3 cars so far so we cannot see any reason it won't be on other cars.

As long as dyno runs are done consistently and everything is monitored through OBDII to keep temps consistent it will show on a dyno.

On the road however is the real test.....

Please PM a price for the cable and the tune.

Am I correct in assuming you email the tune which in turn is then flashed to the car via the laptop/cable?

Can the car be flashed back to stock for dealer visits?

Hi,

yes, you recieve a tuned version of your software via email.

On your PC therefore you will have both tuned and stock software versions. You can interchange between these whenever you want.

If the dealer updates the software to a newer version then we supply you the latest tune free of charge. The old versions can then be deleted.

All that is required is that you re-read the latest software and email it over to us.

You also recieve any updates and revisions to the stage 2 software from us free of charge.

The upload process is incredibly quick also - around 30 seconds, so need for a battery charger on these.

I've had the Evolve S2 software on my car now for just over a week now and I'm really very impressed. To be honest, I've had maps on NA cars before and although theres been improvements, really not massive gains like you get on turbo charged cars. This however has been very different and I'm enjoying the extra pull through the rev range. (I was very sceptical... so pleasantly surprised!)

Taking the car to a UK dis-used runway event soon to see what the VMAX will be, I'm so excited because the car feels pretty bonkers now. Its always been a quick car, but this have just upped the game to the next level.

Other than the map, the only other mod my car has is Supersprint rear race silencers, but it was dyno'd before and after these were fitted and they made no performance difference (no loss, no gain)

Well done guys, I'm chuffed to bits...

I'm curious if you've brought back any of the cars with this tune after several hundred miles of running with it to re-dyno to see if the gain is still there and consistent? Have you also tried to do repreated back to back dynos to see if there are any ill-effects to the performance of the car as the engine gets hotter?

Is the cable used a USB to ODB2 cable like the one used to reprogram for the CIC retrofit and similar functions, or does it plug directly into the ECM?
