We are thinking of creating a competitively priced header system for the E60 M5. Along with the headers we may have an ESS software + headers + cams setup for the E60 M5 as well. Not to mention the ESS supercharged E60 M5 kit which will be released fourth quarter this year.

Please let me know your interest as far as the headers.

I would guess that the Super Charger kit for thr e60 M5 would be about $11-15k.

Mike, your thoughts?

I'd be interested in both for sure - especially the Supercharger System.

I am interested. I suppose that the supercharger kit will also benefit from a header.

Can't release any pricing info on the kit yet. It will be sub 20K and will be the best kit on the market.
What will the gains be? Negative affect to throttle responsiveness and engine sound?

Very interesting stuff. May need a switch from 285 to 305:biggrinbounce:

More like 325!

Positive effect to throttle responsiveness and engine sound. Gains will be substantial. Can't say yet. Upwards of 600HP, and we will be offering a few different kits and a race motor build + supercharger too.

Hmmmm.......$6000 for headers (installed)......30+ (?) Hp all the time...

$7000 for N2o.......(installed) 150 Hp - 100-120 secs per 20lb bottle....$90 refill


$15-20,000 for a supercharger.........(installed) 100+ HP all the time

Seems like a nobrainer for me except for the obvious warranty problems

Hey Mike......did you still need to borrow a stock exhaust? I just got mine back.......

Will the headers be tuned for more torque or horsepower? Approximate cost, stainless grade and ceramic coating option?

Mike, any plans for a bigger oil cooler ? I think its important to have it whether you have the supercharger or not especially for those with pullies :cool:

I'm thinking everyone is interested as long as it is priced right. But...that always seems to be the issue.

Will they be a 5-1 design or 5-2-1 design or some other combination?

Are they hand built and welded or just machine bent tubes?

Thats all the questions I can think of to help out you M5'ers

Yes, they will be equal length headers.

We haven't decided on the design as of yet because we have not tested the different configurations. A ton of testing will go into these headers before they are released.
