Does it really cost that much more to get rid of the ugly plenum covers and put something half decent in there? I mean the M3 GTS had the right idea, except that it was lurid orange. A carbon cover would have been a nice touch. This is a flagship car after all, and if they can fit a whole carbon roof on the M6, a few cosmetic touches in the engine bay would have been very welcome. I remember when the previous M5 came out.. this was a gripe at the time. BMW said they would address all the "issues" from the E60 but it appears the bean counters have won out again :Thumbdown:
