Hi All,

Does anyone have some recommendation about enclosed car shipment service? It looks like I may be unable to personally take delivery of my M5 at the dealer on the East Coast (I live in California). A fellow M5 enthusiasts have recommended two choices:

1. Horseless Carriage (www.horselesscarriage.com)

2. DAS Autoshippers (www.dasautoshippers.com)

I was quoted around $1600 for enclosed shipping from coast to coast.

Is it safe to have them and the dealer handle the shipment in my absence? Does anybody have experience with any of the two above? Is there any other company that I should be looking into?

Thanks for all the advice in advance. This bulletin board has been a great help through my M5 ordering process. I do plan to share what I learn here to other newcomers.

I know its a pain in the rear, but if there's any chance you could do it in person, do it. Perhaps you should check with the dealer or the BMWCCA?
