I have the 06 M5 as a sixth car so I am not as intune to driving as I should be. Is there anyway besides driving that you could tell if they reflashed ecu back to stock? Matt

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Curve (8320): BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

See if goes faster than 155-160 :)

May depend on what software you had it upgraded to since they all have a bit of defferences. Most notable thing to me after installing after market software (Dinan) is shifts on the SMG seemed a lot faster and smoother, especially from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3.

Stock it was really clunky and jerky.

Most ecu flashes increase the redline. Let the car fully warm up and see where the redline point is on the tach.

Redline is a way to tell, but it's not always going to be a definitive answer.

If you are going to test the redline, do it in 3rd or 4th gear.

Best way to tell is to see if it goes past 165mph. (Remember, the speedometer is optimistic at higher speeds, so 155 will not cut it).

Other than that, no way of telling.
