I installed mine a couple of weeks ago and I've got a couple of issues that I'd like to know if anyone else has and/or has solved.

1) the push pin on the fan shroud (furthest to the driver side) doesn't line up, so I can't install the push pin
2) (more critical) - the radiator cap leaks pretty severely to where it will lose enough coolant in about 5 minutes of driving to get the low coolant warning. I've trying 3 different radiator caps (1 of which being the one that came with the tank) and they all leak.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

What was wrong with the stock tank? Mine is 24 years old and still works fine.

+1 for the stock expansion tank on these cars, you don't see old *** yellow/orange ones in MANY MANY MANY cars if there were issues with them. IMO this is one application where an aluminum expansion tank adds absolutely zero value. If you're having issues already, pull that thing immediately and put the stock expansion tank back and forget about it.

Agreed. I always welcome new parts being made for our cars but found the aluminum expansion tank to be unnecessary, especially after seeing people have issues with them. No need to fix what isn't broken in the first place.

Makes sense. And I have enough bits I actually need – or at least should – replace that I don't need to add ones that are just for looks. Yet.
