I would agree. A good manual transmission would give you 15% drivetrain losses. Assuming a HP rating of 500 at the crank, 15% would be 75 HP lost, so 425 RWHP would be my guess too.

I really want to see this number. I still believe these engines are somewhat underrated and have considerable headroom. Of course a dyno will only tell us the first part of this.

The way the M5 hung with the Lambo in that vid... I would say 450-470rwhp 300-320rwtq since the Gallardo is putting around 415whp.

very unlikely... the reason why the m5 hangs is superior (read closer) gearing with less gaps between gears (1:1 in the m5 is 6th while approx 1:1 in lambo is 5th so up to 1:1 the m5 is geared better) .... also the extra 250 rpms help a bit at the higher gears i would assume...

i dont think the m5 needs 40rwhp more to keep the lambo at bay from roll-ons where the extra weight of the bmw plays lesser of a role.

but we will see...

btw, nice numbers on the blown (i assume) ls1...

I know gearing helps, but i doubt it will make all that extra weight back without extra power to the wheels. Im sure the M5 will put more down to the wheels than the Gallardo based on the vid i saw. We will just have to wait and see.

Thanks....Yes it is a LS1 with Full exhaust, Cam, SuperCharger, the supporting fuel and drivetrain mods. Im upping the boost to 12psi now and i will see what it will put down (Aim is 600-630rwhp). I just hope the stock bottom end will last.
