I have a 2007 M6, SMG, 57k mi, has been stored for over 5 years (following a left side collision) that affected front suspension, and causing driver door airbag and convertible rollover bars to deploy. Long story short, the car sat for several years, battery died, and some rats found shelter in the underbody. The car now is repaired (with exception of driver door airbag, and rollover bars not being reset. The car has generated fault codes 5107, 5109, and 510A. The symptoms are it doesn't go into auto mode, only manual, and skips 2nd and 4th gears. I'm awaiting word back from the shop, but from what I've read, this is likely a bad gear position sensor? The car was fine prior to the accident, so this must have been caused by either the accident, or sitting idle for several years, and possibly chewed wiring by the rats. Any input? Thanks!
