You guys (UK) may be interested in this new E39 transmission/gearbox that is for sale because the local BMW dealer ordered it in error! What an expensive error eh !

looks like a 540 tranny. the shifter detent thingy where the position switch in the m5 goes doesn't look to be threaded just like the 540.
