Certainly the E34 M5 Touring was a great car and in fact I believe had far better weight distribution than the saloon as well as great suspension. It would certainly give BMW something to compete with the E55 Estate and the upcoming Audi RS4. As far as I know it was limited production so was never produced in RHD or shipped to the US. In my opinion the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing!!
i have a picture that i can email, i can't figure out how to post it on this board, but i can email it to someone if they know how to post pictures. i brought my m3 in for service a couple of weeks ago, and the service guy showed me an article and picture from a british car mag. according to the article, "bmw is testing prototype m5 estates that could outpower both the rs4 and e55, using the same 400bhp engine seen in the m5 saloon and z8 roadster.""BMW has yet to give the car the production green light, bmw is believed to be keen on becoming a major player in the sports estate market"
