My mirror is fine, but it's popped out from the swivel ball. The stealership said they won't try to reconnect the ball and they want $600 to replace it! Any chance you can provide some tips on how to pop it back in without cracking the windshield or ruining the mirror? Thanks!
If the ball joint has come out it is an easy fix. There's a circular spring that puts tension on the clamp, put that back in place first - you should be able to do it without any tools. Next put something soft like a towel on the floor and lay the mirror on the towel face down. Grab the mirror bracket and line up the ball with the socket and put as much weight into as needed - you can rotate the ball a little if needed and it will pop back into place.

Sorry if this question has already been answered, but does not mirror retain heating option? So when repaired the mirror will have auto dimming and heat? Thanks!
As far as I know we're the only ones that have replacement glass for these. They are challenging to repair. The heating element cannot be removed from the old mirror without damage and unfortunately the heating function will be lost. Auto dimming will operate normally.
