If I were you, I'd get one here that's been rebuilt. It's what I put in my car when my center support bearing went out. Price certainly good for getting an entire driveshaft, rebuilt U joints, new center bearing and fully rebuilt and greased rear U joint.
Thanks for the suggestion. A board member replied and has a used one but I'm still leaning towards a rebuild. Found a TX-based company that rebuilds with OEM U-joints and provides a one-year warranty for a decent price.

I suppose a new CSB is highly recommended in this case. This all started with a broken diff mount on the subframe and is now quickly spiraling.

How long does a drive shaft last?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lasted 236,000 on my 2001 E46 330i. Lasted 450,000+ on my friend's 2000 528i. Only lasted to around 85K miles on my 03 M5, but I did not have it for the first 80K, so it could have been beaten to death. New one still good since, around 95K miles now.
