They are on a M3 now and can get a decent deal on them, just not sure if 305s will fit on the M5

305s fit in the rear, but I think you'd need to run a giant spacer up front.

I'm running 305s; my specs are in my signature.

And with them offsets and tires you sit pretty nice? Seen you are on coils also. I am going to be running coils and trying to find out what the best offset for bbs lm's to order would be and what tire sizes without running into rubbing issues etc...

I'm just now learning the ins and outs of wheel fitment so I may be wrong but won't 9.5" fronts with that large of an offset cause issues against your suspension? That is of course as long as I'm not backward... thinking the offset is the distance from the lip of the wheel to the mounting surface of the hub. For reference I'm currently on stock wheels and have 12mm spacers and it's about as close as I can get.

And on the rears you are looking at 11" with a 25mm offset. Seems like I've generally seen 10" with 25mm offset. I'm wondering if you'll rub pretty bad.

255 PSSs are as wide as I can go with my coils. PS2s, I can run a 275 with my coils up front. For PSSs, 265s will rub on the shock collar -- I just measured. The PSSs are much wider than the old PS2s.

With that said, the offset for your LMs are not ideal for the e60. The spacer would have to be larger than 20mm (think 30mm) and you still would be off. Personally, I would find it difficult to run a spacer larger than 15mm for how I use my e60.

This is how she sits.

We measured 2mm of clearance between the shock collar and the widest part of the tire.

Perfect!! Appreciate your time and help!

Yes I use to run Vossens with 15mm all around
20x9------- Front 20 offset
20x10.5-----Rear 27 offset

Tires

285-35-20 Michelin PS2

With no issues but also on stock suspension

Woody clearly you don't have issues running the 305 PSS on a 10" wheel but I see TireRack shows minimum wheel width is 10.5". Is it standard fare to be a little smaller than specification in the tire? Don't see a PS2 option on the 305's but I think others mentioned they run wider shock may cause clearance issues.

With 255 pss are you able to go lower in front without rubbing-fiftytwoeight
I think it would be difficult to go any lower.

I ran 295s in the PS2 with zero rubbing. The 305s rub slightly on very deep compressions. I can/could raise my suspension and eliminate all the rubbing, but it's not bad at all. It's not rubbing to the extent I feel I need to raise my rear suspension.

I hope that helps!

I think I'll go PSS as it looks like most have indicated they out perform and are priced better than the ps2. But did your shop give you trouble mounting 305's on a 10" wheel when the tire spec says 10.5" is the minimum?

Not at all! No problems mounting them on a 10" rim.
