I have not seen any research or any proven information about raised rev limiter with Dinan and loss of rod bearings. Glad you are pleased with the Shark, Conforti and Dinan are BOTH reputable tuners. Remember, Dinan mods. were proven through research and had coverage by factory warranty. There are plenty of S2 running around with over 100K miles with no rod bearing issues. Although I certainly agree with you about costing an arm and a leg and don't forget you have to give up your first born child too!!!I'm rather pleased with the shark injector. Unlike the Dinan tune, you can choose to keep the stock rev limit at 7k rpm, which is a welcome thing because of all the thrown rod bearing disaster stories...
Also unlike Dinan, the shark injector can automatically adapt to basic bolt ons such as exhaust, intake, pulleys...and they even have a tune for headers that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
