Anyone know of a method to detune the E60 M5. I plan on shipping the vehicle overseas in a few months and I don't want my car being ragged on when it's not in my possession. This feature, I think, would also be useful when using a valet. Especially if passcode protected. I was hoping that somone would know if there was a method to accomplish this through the iDrive. Thanks!

I think there are some Audi models that have a 'Valet Mode' available through vagcom diagnostics. It simply put the car in 'limp' mode, cutting out the turbos and bringing down the top speed. Not sure it was that easy to access if you didnt have a registered version and it certainly wasnt handy if you didnt have your vag-cable and laptop with you. There must be an easier option on these cars.

Try disconnecting the MAF's! That should put the car into limp mode!
