Alright guys so I bought some new stuff and went and detailed the M5 today. I followed the steps below. The pictures don't do the final results justice but next time around I will be using the Menzerna SIP & Orange Pad and then follow it with Menzerna Nano & Blue Pad. I used the UDM which made the polish process money! I spent about 4 hours completing the process. The UDM is a life saver. Practice makes perfect and I have a S-430 and E55 lined up to work on :) Let me know what you guys think. I tried to take the best pictures I could. It was sunny on/off. Picture link below.

Note: The picture names indicate what was applied at the time.
MZNANO --> Menzerna Nano
KAIO --> Klasse AIO
PBWaxBlue --> Poor Boys Natty Blue Wax

Gorgeous! Very well done.

I've got a PC. Is there a difference between the PC and the UDM? I always thought a random orbital was a random orbital.

Again, absolutely gorgeous.

Wow, very nice. I wish I had the time to detail my beast like that. Mine looks pretty darn good on a 2 hour detail but one of these summer days coming up, I'll definitely clay bar it and wax it. The results you got are sweet indeed.

Nice. Was able to tell right away you were local (VA) after seeing the house in the background.

Nice work. (SIP and orange pad you say? :) )

Pretty easy to get an astonishing detail- nothing magical, just use the right stuff and have confidence in your ability and choices.

Thanks for the feedback guys! As I was shopping for products no one had posted results with just using the Nano & White Pad. Most everyone had used the 2 step (SIP & Nano). So this is for all those folks wondering how the car turns out if Nano is applied with the white pad. Next time I will be using the SIP & Orange followed by the Nano.

Super90: No really difference. The only thing I can think of is that the UDM is a bit more powerful.

kevinsalazar: Yup, right off of 123 :)

iconoclast: Actually it wasn't random! I applied the polish in the garage and when I went to open the driver side door to pull it out, I had to remove the tape.

With results like that, I'm wondering why you think the SIP is necessary. Are there flaws that were covered by your wax that you are still hoping to get rid of? I'd be tickled pink if I was able to get that finish on my jet black baby.

No I was happy with the results but there is always room for improvement! :hihi:

Actually I will be trying the SIP on E55

BTW: The Poor Boys Wax gave the car a deeper wet look finish. I had heard the wax actually makes the color look darker but to see it in person was just wow!

...I thought the houses looked familiar too... like, Arlington road. :eek:

...old movie - jk - - nice job.

- - I'd pay 200+ euro for a job like that on mine, as if I could even find any decent detailer :sad1:

...on another wierd note, I have a friend in Lorton, over on Igoe st...

Are you coming to George Brockleman's little get together this summer at his house in Great Falls? Your ride looks very similar to AliUSA's ride! He took some pics of his ride when we were doing exhaust comps at my house in Belmont!
