I have sent an Email to: [email protected]
twice and called Dani’s number, leaving a voice mail message (also twice) asking for a form to request a replacement for my defective mirror but, to date, there has been no response.

My first e-mail was sent to Dani on December 20th<O:p

In addition, there is no way that I can find a live person using the number listed on the Magna Donnelly web site as it just sends you into a phone tree of recorded messages.

I noticed on the company web-site that they recently had a major change in management and wondered if they have stopped replacing their defective rear view mirrors?

Does anyone have another e-mail address for requesting a new mirror?

Don't know what to tell you. I just did the same thing less than a month ago...had a response within 48 hours.

Sorry bout that

Not to make excuses but this is a horrid time of year to try and contact people. With the holidays and the resulting pile up of work that must be caught up on...it might take some time to hear back.

In my experience Dani was extremely responsive and the only individual that I interacted with. Perhaps give it another week?

Thank you for the reply- Perhaps she is on vacation and did not leave a notice on her voicemail or computer.
I faxed a copy of my email to Dani today and will wait a week for a reply.
The problem is that with this defective mirror I can not spot the type of car behind me, especially at night/dusk and I hate the idea of another ticket...

I have not gotten a response from them either

I've been trying to get a response from them since just after Christmas and no response at all so far.

Not bugging them, but a voice mail per week and two emails.

The other contact there is Steve Chenlo at 616 786-7495.

I will be persistent and pleasant until they respond.

Best of luck,
Chris

Yep, I had no problems with them either. Quick response, pleasant people. New mirror.

Hard to get the thing on with no instructions...funny that Dani asked me to email her instructions on how to put the thing on once I figured it out.:dunno:

Remember: twist it on!:D

Bluedevil,

Did you provide the installation instructions to her? If so, please share.
It's actually very easy in principle...just takes some patience. You simply "twist off" the old mirror after you dixconnect the wiring. The is a shaped plate affixed to the interior of your windshield for mounting. You will notice that the shape matches the springloaded cutout on the new mirror. You need to align the shapes (this requires about a 10 degree rotation on the mirror), while pressing toward the window...you need to twist the mirror until it is back to 0 degrees. This will take some patience, but you will feel it catch and seat onto the window.

There is really no secret...just takes time.

I wish I had thought to take pictures for you all, but I did this a coupla months ago and just forgot.

I didn't have to provide the wiring information to them. They pre filled out the form and put down "n/a" in those specific fields. I did provide them with my VIN number though which may have already had the information they needed to provide me the correct mirror.

What is the issue with the mirror, and what years are affected?

MD is back to replacing the mirrors- for $75 plus shipping. See the later thread Update/ Number Disconnected/ Defective Mirrors- No reply From Magna Donnelly
