ill have to try this.

never seen anything on my car display more than 12mpg, even keeping my foot out of it.
You can see it in the main dash display as well if you reset it while you're going 70mph and coasting down a hill with your foot off the pedal :) I think I saw 99mpg one time.... for about 5 seconds before I mashed the pedal and saw it dip back to 11mpg :)

I am at 13-15 in the City depending how much stop and go I have. Only had it two weeks the first week I got 10-11, but as they say "Sprited Driving" influenced that a bit. The Shell station attendent is starting to remember my car because I am their every 2 days:D!

I need to retro fit my beast with in-flight refueling equipment...

I'm sure anyone can get over 12mpg easily by launching the car slowly and don't go over like 4~5k rpm while letting most drivers pass you. I think of it as giving others the permission to pass me so it doesn't feel bad even when a prius cuts in front of me :tonquesmilie:

Today I reseted my trip meter and took it easy whole day. I did around 60 miles with 30% highway and 70% city and I still didn't manage to break the 12mpg barrier. I don't think 15 mpg is even doable if I am not on the highway 80% of the time.

Car has no torque and eats gallons of gas in the city. What I wish was for BMW to have put in a "real" gas tank. Between the cold weather warning and no gas light I have a permanent triangle on the dash. Pisses me off....
looking forward to connecting my laptop to the car to disable some of these warnings AND that stupid chime at startup.
