Hi,

Just got my second E60 M5.
While my other 1 was on bmw motorplan i did not do much to mod it.
The new 1 is off warranty.

I am planning to get a custom header and exhaust made up here in South Africa.
Buying and shipping a unit is a bit expensive i think.
Also i will be running no cats as they're not compulsory here.

Please can anyone assist by letting me know:

1. Primary tube diameter on headers, aftermarket (dinan/agency power/rpi/evosport)

2. Exhaust tube diameter, aftermarket sizes.

Please assist.

For a full exhaust run 2.5 or 3" piping (no X pipe, keep it true dual)

As for the headers I'm not too sure on that piping, but it's more what you do with the chambers at the end when they come together.

I would recommend de-catting OEM manifolds. Rather than redesigning another equal length or long tube versions.

Just my experience, and that way you can isolate the flow/velocity which is so important to NA cars to get the right amount of torque/hp
