All,

I have just enjoyed a cold drive here :sad3: .

For some reason I cannot get hot air out of any vent apart from the ones dirrecting air directly on the windscreen.

I have the climate control, move all the switches and nothing happens.
However, I've I set the temp to 20 or below then I can get cold air blowing into the car via these vents!!!

Any thoughts?

I had similiar problem yesterday when I was driving. I turned the heat up and all of a sudden I noticed I was getting cold air. At one point, only the left vents were blowing heat and the right side was cold. Very strange.

With my car, no air will pass through the face vents or the foot vents until the water temp' is up to 30 C or so. Also the only reliable way I can get hot air though the face vents is to switch away from "auto".

As with your car, if I set the temp to 20 or below, then cold air does come through the face vents, what you will find though is that if you select "auto" and the temp is a little higher, once that temp is reached, sometimes the face vents do open and allow in some colder air to keep the temp at what it has been set to.

Just out of curiosity, when you get cold air coming through the face vents, what happens if you move the temp dial in between the face vents to red?

Er not much!!!

I have never had hot air out of the face vents! I can get it on the windscreen or footwells, and that is about it!!!
