From the discussion on this thread: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e6...-remote-coding-finally-done-video-inside.html
I figured I'd post a separate thread for those in the Bay Area, CA to see if anyone would be interested in getting coding for their car to enable windows up/sunroof close and side mirror fold/unfold via the OEM remote. This will be done by Aleks at Alekshop in Pleasanton. The cost for these two options is $150 or $125 for just one of the options. The process takes about 20 minutes.

Other options that might be possible are listed below and can be had for an additional $50 each. Aleks might be able to work out a deal if someone wants several options, like 4 or more.

1.Enable remote folding mirrors<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
2.Enable remote windows/sunroof opening/closing <o:p></o:p>
3.Enable remote hardtop folding <o:p></o:p>
4.Enable One-touch sunroof venting <o:p></o:p>
5.Enable TV/DVD-in-motion (only for the CIC) <o:p></o:p>
6.Enable Euro front blinkers (disable US Sidemarkers) <o:p></o:p>
7.Enable M3 (v= ) digital speedometer in the instrument cluster <o:p></o:p>
8.Enable any lights as your Welcome Lights <o:p></o:p>
9.Enable remote trunk opening/closing (X5/X6 only)<o:p></o:p>
10.Disable iDrive warning <o:p></o:p>
11.Disable door gong <o:p></o:p>
12.Disable headlight washers <o:p></o:p>
13.Disable a bulb check error (LED bulbs, HIDs, etc.)<o:p></o:p>
14.Retrofit coding (OEM Alarm, Sirius, PDC etc.) <o:p></o:p>
15.E9x LCI tail lights coding (all FRM versions) <o:p></o:p>
16.Head Unit audio output coding (Stereo, HiFi, TopHiFi, Individual)<o:p></o:p>
17. CIC Navigation retrofit<o:p></o:p>

Let me know who's interested and maybe we can set up a coding session at his place. BTW, I have no financial benefit from this and just trying to help out local members.

ECF -

I am looking to get this done. I want my mirrors to fold up when holding down the lock (bmw) button.

I am in the South FL area though. What does the coder need - the key, or the car, or both?

Hi Aaron, from the other thread, sounds like you might be able to meet up with Nelson29 to get your coding done but I'll ask Aleks to see if this can also be done remotely and will let you, and others know.

Tony, if the dealer decides to update my software, do these options get removed and would I then have to pay for programming again? Also I might have two E92 M3s interested in this as well (one of them was asking whether they can fix the audio alarm on/off feedback for him? -- apparently the M3s don't give you an audio beep when you arm/disarm the alarm/locks?).

Our M5 will open the windows (and I'm pretty sure sunroof as well) if you hold down the unlock button. I don't think it closes it though. Does this mean some people's M5's don't do it?

Yep all M5s can do that, even the regular E60s if I remember correctly with my old 545. I just copied that from his email and think it might apply to other BMW models.

Update. I think I found another person in the Bay Area that can do this cheaper. Will confirm shortly.

Let me know. Also still interested in finding out what these guys do if I need it re-programmed if the dealer changes out the software and resets it.

that's tooooooo expensive ,,, you can buy the OBD cable for cheaper and do 100's of codes , with a little search ...
Yeah, apparently everyone's been telling me what Aleks charges is too expensive so I've found another source. Going to confirm his pricing today.

Please keep me updated! I keep hating on my friend and his e46 M3 because he can roll up his windows w/ his remote, but I can't on my M5!

I can do all of those options for much less, and send a remote flashing kit to your location. Email: [email protected] or you can use my PC email.
Can you PM price on the following:

1.Enable remote folding mirrors
2.Enable remote windows/sunroof opening/closing <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>

3.Enable One-touch sunroof venting <o:p></o:p>
