I am picking up my Silverstone M5 today.
Is there anything I need to know before the delivery. I know that I need to get some oil, just in case. Anything else? Is there a check list to follow?

Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Your dealer should spend some time with you going over all the major systems, such as how to adjust the seats/mirrors/memory settings, GPS/NAV/Stereo settings, etc...

Make sure they've calibrated the tire-pressure monitoring system. This requires a couple mile drive at steady-state speeds of around 60 mph.

Make sure all the options you selected (PDC, split seats, etc...) are on the car and functional.

Stick to the break-in procedure. Keep it under 105 mph and 5000 rpm for 1200 miles.

Enjoy, Congrats, and welcome to the M5 owner's club!

Thanks Steve.

I plan to keep a copy for myself.

My dealer has delivered so few M5's I'll be surprised if they're knowledgeable about all the different systems.

I'm sticking with the sportive interior in spite of all the "flaky issues".

Au revoir.

Hi Steve.
I am picking up my car in 2 hours. It is Silverstone/black all leather and deleted M5 badge.
I am also leasing an E55 (bought M5). A soon as I get my hands on M5 I will post my first impressions of M5 compared to E55.

Have fun everybody.
